Our shop offers traditional western grain-fed beef we sell as Copper Creek, which is a very high choice and prime-grade product. The eating quality is excellent. Whenever possible we age our beef twenty-one days. For the customer who prefers an all-natural product, we offer Joyce Farms beef, which was introduced in our About Us section of the site. These animals are never given antibiotics, or hormones or fed GMO food. The grazing farm is GAP certified; where they practice regenerative agriculture, and the animals are humanely raised. This product is graded choice or better and the quality is excellent. If you are particular about what the animal is fed, whether they receive injections, and you are concerned about their treatment, Joyce might be the best choice for you.
Once you have decided on traditional vs. natural you can learn more about the cuts of beef and where they originate from on the animal by clicking on the illustration below. A butcher shop such as ours will offer better products than the chain supermarkets as we source quality, and they purchase with price points in mind to lure you into their stores. Don’t be fooled into buying local meat from farmers. Make sure you ask the right questions about antibiotics, hormones and whether their animals were fed genetically modified foodstuffs. Think of food as an investment.
Most of our pork is sourced from a reputable packer in the Midwest, and our natural product is purchased here in North Carolina. The Midwest produces some of the finest pork, and our supplier is a nationally recognized vendor. Many of the factors that go into purchasing beef hold true for pork with one major exception. Pork is typically injected to add flavor and lower the cost of the product. Be sure and read the labels in the chain stores. At our shop we do not use injected meat. By clicking on the illustration below you can learn more about the various cuts associated with pork.
We also carry specialty meats like Bison and Elk, along with Poultry and Seafood, which are available in-store and on our website for purchase.
